Doris R. Boyd, 78, of Red Lion, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Manor Care Dallastown.
A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Pastor Steven Schmuck officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery.
Miss Boyd was born on May 20, 1933, in Windsor Twp, a daughter of the late Truman W. and Velma R. (Schmuck) Boyd.
She had attended grade school at Small's one room school house that was located on Burkholder Road. Miss Boyd had also attended Red Lion Assembly of God.
Miss Boyd is survived by two brothers, Ray D. Boyd of Felton and Wayne T. Boyd of Yoe; three sisters, June A. and the late Herbert S. Flinchbaugh of Red Lion, Florine M. and husband Dean A. Deller of Dallastown, and Linda K. and husband Jack E. Arnold of Red Lion; nieces and nephews, Norma Jean Flinchbaugh of Red Lion, Glen H. Flinchbaugh of Seven Valleys, Dennis and Joan Deller and Dwight D. Deller all of York, Diane and Rick Gurreri and Vincent F. Deller, all of Dallastown, Charles Boyd of Winterstown, Edward Boyd of York, Kathy and Joe David of Carlisle, Angela and Greg McCormick of Huntingdon Valley, and Joshua Arnold of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a niece, Sheila Deller.
