Susanna B. Snader, 92, formerly of rural Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Heritage Springs Memory Care Assisted Living, Lewisburg.
She was born April 16, 1924, in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late William and Ada (Hertzler) Beam. On Nov. 11, 1945, she married Titus F. Snader and they celebrated 54 years of marriage until his death on July 11, 2000.
Susanna was a homemaker and assisted her husband on their dairy farm in Limestone Township for many years.
She was a member of Derry Mennonite Church.
She enjoyed listening to Christian radio and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Dale W. and Darlene Snader, of White River Junction, Vt., Dwight D. and Tena Snader, of Milton, and Lamar and Sherry Snader, of Willow Street; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Fannie Gochnauer, and her fiancé, Dan Jerchau, of Conestoga, Sarah and Fred Weaver, of East Earl, Ada D. and David Hostetter, of Turbotville, and Susan F. and Allen Friend, of Eyers Grove; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel, Omar and Ruth, Titus and Violet, Dale and Lil, and James and Carol Beam; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Clair Eberly and Frances and Wayne Gunzenhauser.
She was preceded in death by one son, James R. Snader in 1967; one son-in-law, Richard Gochnauer; one brother, Glenn Beam; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Snader and Kaliese Evans.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville and from to 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Community Mennonite Fellowship Church, 2985 Broadway Road, Milton, followed by the funeral at 3:30 p.m., with Pastors David Martino, Jared Weaver, and Leroy Erb officiating.
Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Beaver Run Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Turbotville with the Rev. David Martino officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Susanna's memory be made to WPGM Radio, P.O. Box 236, Danville, PA 17821 or at wpgmfm.org.
