Funeral services for William Lewis Barrentine were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Wyatt Harvey officiating. Burial was in the Mt Nebo Cemetery with Wise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

A retired mechanic, Mr. Barrentine died Oct 10 in Choctaw County Hospital He was 62.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Mt Pisgah Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lewis Barrentine of Ackerman; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Hood of Ackerman and Mrs. Carry Bowles of Reform, Ala.; one son, Joe Madison Barrentine of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Lee Mitchell of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Claudia Mae McKnight of Shaw and Mrs. Mary Ethel Medders of Memphis; two brothers, Floyce Barrentine of Pascagoula and Jim Barrentine of Crystal Springs; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Vaiden Dean Jr., Jimmy Hugh Henderson, Charles Henderson, Robert Murphy, Jame Neal Henderson and Leander Prewitt
