Mrs. Emma Barlow, resident of Sonora for the past 72 years, died at her home in Sonora Wednesday morning following a long illness.
A native of Germany, she came to this country as a girl. She was the wife of the late Abraham Barlow, prominent pioneer resident of Tuolumne County/
She was instrumental in founding a chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Sonora and was a Past Worthy Matron of the local unit.
Surviving is a daughter, Miss Rene Barlow, and three sons, Alfred and Isadore Barlow of Sonora and Bert Barlow of the bay region.
Officers of the Order of Eastern Star will officiate at the funeral services to be held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Burden Chapel
