Myrtle Bourcy 1901-1993

Myrtle M. Bourcy, 92, a former resident of Bagley, died at the Midwest Care Center in Fosston on Thursday, September 16, 1993.
Myrtle was born May 12, 1901, in Herman, Iowa, to Harry and Phoebe Bourcy. Her mother died at an early age, so she took care of her brothers and sisters for some years.
Later in life she moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she took care of a person for many years. Later she moved back to Alida (rural Shevlin), and in the early 1980's she came to Bagley. For the past year she has made her home at the Midway Care Center in Fosston. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Bagley.
Myrtle never married.
Survivors include one sister, Mildred (Mrs. Luke) Cooper of Tennessee; brother, Art of Davenport, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Walter, Virgil and George; and two sisters, Florence and Alice.
Her funeral was Monday, September 20, at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Bagley, with the Pastor Clarence Watkins officiating. Burial was at the Moose Creek Cemetery, south of Shevlin. Casket bearers were D. Wilkinson, Wayne Petersen, Kenneth Christenson, Byran and Bradley Bourcy and Michell Wilkinson.
