LEWISTON - Patricia Ann Adair, age 74 of New Gloucester, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Monticello, Maine on November 3, 1940, a daughter of Frank and Mildred (Kneeland) Prosser and attended Houlton schools and Ricker High School.

She married Forrest Adair on March 23, 1956.

For most of her life, Patricia worked in shoe shops in the Lewiston/Auburn area as a stitcher, in 1980, she went to work for General Electric in Auburn until 1997 when she retired due to her health.

Mrs. Adair loved to read, go shopping, crocheting and playing golf. She and her husband loved going out to eat lunch daily.

They have lived in New Gloucester since 1973.

Patricia is predeceased by brothers, Basil, Murrey and Earl Prosser; and sisters, Theresa Sadler, Doris Bishop and Bertha McIver.

She leaves behind her husband Forrest of 59 years; a son, Rodney Adair and his wife Sandra, of New Gloucester; a daughter, Serae Hemond and her husband Donald, of Minot; two brothers, Charlie Prosser and his wife Ora, of FL, and Wendall Prosser and his wife Merriem of Pittsfield; two sisters, Alice Miller of Mars Hill and Carolyn Graham of Arizona; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Riverside Cemetery in West Minot.

Arrangements are in the care of the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICE, 26 W. Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls.
