Pinos Altos mourns the death of one of its pioneer residents, Mrs. Maria P. Acosta, 87, who passed away last Friday. Rosary services were held Sunday evening at the Cox Mortuary Chapel. Mass was said Monday at 9 a.m. by the Rev. R.A. Vonder Haar, of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, followed by burial in the Silver City Catholic Cemetery. Survivors are three sons, Albert, Augustine and Pete Acosta, Silver City; a daughter, Octaviana Acosta, Hurley; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.
