Chester Bishop, 91, of Hartselle died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1921 in Cullman, to Manasses Bishop and Emma Mabrey Bishop. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired from Redstone Arsenal, as a mail clerk.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Cullman County. The U.S. Army will provide military honors at the cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor W. Bishop; two sons, Jerry A. Bishop and his wife, Donna and Lester Lane Bishop and his wife, Jennifer, all of Hartselle; two daughters, JoAnn Congo of Hartselle and Carolyn McGehee and her husband, Stephen of New Market; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
