ADES, Dorothy Gladys - 84, Bedford, passed away peacefully October 11, 2006, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Britain, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Florence (Mason) Bard. She is survived by her son, Michael (Charleen), Tantallon; nieces, Susan (Phil) Lines and Kathy (Mike) Cross, Britain; grandchildren, Mathew (Angela) Perkins, Calgary, Alta.; Tiana Calnen, Halifax; Kevin (Michelle) Shelton, Saint John, N.B.; Erica (Brian) Cymbaluk, Oakville, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Devon, Teagan, Ethan, Alex, Evan, Samuel, Sarah; many friends in the Bedford area, Oakville, Ont., and Britain. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil; sister, Eileen Whittaker. She was always interested in music and poetry, and enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held October 28 at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens. Reception to follow in the Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Lounge. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation (350 Michael Copeland Dr., Kanata, ON K2M 2W1), Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division, or a charity of your choice.
