|Birth: ||Aug. 8, 1853|
|Death: ||Apr. 20, 1907|
Son of William and Roxy Armstrong.
He married Luvinnia Dawson Mallory and they had one daughter named Mabel Armstrong.
George W. Armstrong was born in Brown County, Ohio, Aug 8, 1853 and on April 20, 1907, reached life's terminus, in his home in Milton, MO., in and near which he resided 20 years.
His illness was of short duration and while he had the best of nursing and the best of medical attention, his malady was such that they availed nothing. His end was peaceful.
For 17 years he was a consistent and devoted member of the Christian Church, He was followed to his last earthly resting place at Macedonia, MO. by a large concourse of friends and neighbors, including the members of the Married Men's League of Moberly. Rev. Crutcher conducted the funeral service.
He leaves a devoted wife, a dutiful daughter, aged 11, two nephews, Chas. and William Armstrong, the former of Moberly and the latter of Salisbury to mourn his decease, though not without hope for their faith is implicit that he is beyond the pearly gate that admits to the New Jerusalem, gazing on the face of Him who died that we may forever live, or else is being entranced listening to the one hundred and forty and four thousand who chant the sweetest hosannas and blow from the trumpets of the greastest power the most melodious music.
