Mary, wife of Henry Busch, of St. Benedict, died Thursday July 8 at 10 0'clock a.m..
Deceased was a daughter of John Berndgen, of St. Benedict, and sister of Peter and George Berndgen of Minneapolis. She was born in Prusia in 1842, came to America in 1857, married Henry Busch in 1863.
She was the mother of four children, three boys and one girl, Alice, John, Andrew and Peter, the oldest being now 21 and the youngest, 17, who stood by her bedside at the hour of her death and witnessed with sorrowful hearts their mother depart from this world.
Mrs. Busch had been bedridden ever since the birth of her second child in 1866, being nursed ever since (twenty years,) by her husband who did everything possible to restore her health.
She died after receiving the last rites of the Catholic Church of which she was a member. A large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to the Church where mass was celebrated by Rev. Guido Knepper, after which the remains were interred in St. Benedict cemetery.
Mr. Busch has the sympathy of a large congregation of friends who condole with him in this his greatest affliction.
