Frank N. Barley, 72, died Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Lancaster General Hospital. He had been a patient since Sept. 22. An autopsy will be preformed today at the hospital to determine the cause of death.

Born in Manor Twp., a son of the late Martin and Elizabeth Neff Barley, he was a member of the Masonville Mennonite Church and Sunday School. A retired farmer since 1949, he was an employee of the hospital. He and his wife, the former Sara E. Miller, observed their 51st wedding anniversary June 20, 1958.

Besides his wife, he is survived by nine children; Abram of Washington Boro, Hazel Newcomer of East Petersburg, Harold of Millersville, Benjamin of Baltimore, MD, Frank of Washington Boro, Ruth Kauffman of Central Manor, Earl of Central Manor, Richard of Lancaster and Helen Duffey of Lancaster.

Also surviving are two sisters; Ellie Shenk of Lancaster and Marie Esbenshade of Lancaster, three brothers; Abram of Lancaster, Edgar of Washington Boro and Paul of Millersville, 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
