AUGUSTA, Ill. -- The Rev. Harvey C. Anderson, 70, of Augusta, an Assemblies of God minister for many years, died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 18, 1986) in his home.
Mr. Anderson was born in Sisseton, S.D., Oct. 19, 1915, the son of Andrew and Florence Peterson Anderson. He married Alice Marie Crump June 22, 1940, in La Grange, Ill. She survives.
Mr. Anderson had been an Assemblies of God minister for many years in the Camden and Augusta area and before that had served churches in Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota. He had been a school bus driver for 29 years and was well known in the area for his house painting and sales work.
Mr. Anderson was a 1934 graduate of Sisseton High School and a 1939 graduate of North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn. He was ordained as an Assemblies of God minister in 1944.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald of Quincy; a sister, Mrs. Roger (Doris) Sorensen of Mesa, Ariz.; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hamilton Funeral Home at Augusta by the Rev. Loren Curtis. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Augusta.
