Mrs. Glenn (Minnie Irene) Adams, 82, Elysian, died Sunday, March 26, 1978, after a ten day illness, at the Janesville Nursing Home. Funeral services were at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Elysian, Father Timothy McCarthy officiated. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Elysian. Pallbearers were Millard Nutter, Louis Roessler, Clayton Stangler, Kenneth Gifford, Russell Hrdlicka, and William Short. Minnie Irene Hammond was born September 8, 1895, in Pipestone County, Minnesota, the daughter of Emmett and Julia Hammond. She attended Mankato school. On May 17, 1921, she married Glenn E, Adams of Elysian at Mankato. They lived in the Elysian community for 57 years. She was a member of Elysian American Legion Auxiliary and former member of St. Andrew's Rosary Society. She is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mary Helen) Abbott of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters.
