SHELDON AIZENSHTAT, It is with great sadness that we announce that Sheldon Aizenshtat, 54 of Memphis, TN passed away from kidney disease and heart failure on Thursday, August 20. He was a graduate of White Station High School and during that time he was a member of Peres AZA. Sheldon was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity while attending Memphis State University. He was a casino dealer by trade and dealt the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, NV as well as other tournaments around the country. He was an avid sports fan and dearly loved his Memphis Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. Sheldon will be remembered for his quick wit and persistence to overcome obstacles his entire life. He is survived by his sisters, Marla Aizenshtat and her partner Beth O'Callaghan of Washington, DC; Sylvia Wagman of Houston Texas; Wynne Aizenshtat of Las Vegas, New Mexico; Aunt, Esther Meyers of Memphis, TN; cousins, and many close and dear friends. Services were held Friday, August 21 at Anshei Sphard Cemetery. Donations can be made in Sheldon's name to Anshei Sphard Beth El Emeth, 120 East Yates Rd.
