Widow of John A. Acker, died at her home on Second street [apparently, Williamsburg] yesterday morning at 11 o'clock following a week's illness from influenza. She was the daughter of Earl H. (deceased) and Mrs. Olive Sorrick Rhule, and was born on the farm at Clover Creek on April 30, 1891. She was married on Sept. 12, 1907, by Rev. Umberger of the Lutheran church, and soon after came to Williamsburg to reside, her husband later being one of the partners in the hardware firm of Rhule & Acker. She was a member of the Lutheran church of Williamsburg, and a highly esteemed woman. Her untimely death leaves four small children, Ethel, Ernest, Josephine and Luther, orphans, her husband having died in October, 1918, of typhoid fever. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. George Greaser, Mrs. Havie Shelley and Alfred, all of Williamsburg; Raymond of Yellow Springs. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday morning at 10:30 at the late home, services in charge of Rev. J. M. Rearick of the Lutheran church. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
