Frances L. Hethcoat
Frances L. Hethcoat, 77, of Bexley, Ohio, formerly of Winchester, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, in Bexley, Ohio.
Mrs. Hethcoat was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Gatesville, N.C., the daughter of Charles Leonard and Bessie Perry Nixon.
She was a homemaker.
She was married to Robert V. Hethcoat on Jan. 14, 1942, in South Mills, N.C. Mr. Hethcoat died Oct. 6, 2003.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Gerald Hethcoat of Williston, Fla., Douglas R. Hethcoat of Columbia, Tenn., and Gayland O. Hethcoat of Winchester; a daughter, Sabrina D. Shorte of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Paul Nixon of O'Fallon, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son, Charles R. Hethcoat, and a sister, Doris Faircloth, are deceased.
A funeral will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, with the Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tim Cobb, Gayland Hethcoat, Tad Hethcoat, Nick Hethcoat, Allen Shorte, and Alex Shorte.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services will be conducted at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester, Va. with the Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth officiating. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Charles Leonard and Bessie Perry Nixon and was a native of Gatesville, N.C. She was a homemaker.
