Esther M. Baughman of Orange Park, FL, died there Sunday. She was a daughter of Charles G. and Ida May Baughman.

She lived in Oil City in her youth at the family home, 507 Hiland Ave., attended Oil City High School, the Welch's Business College, and worked for the Citizens Light and Power Co. several years. In 1942 she moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at the Department of Interior, retiring to work in Orange Park, FL. She was active in politics, civic organizations, and the United Presbyterian Church. After moving to Chevy Chase, MD, she was similarly involved there. At one time she was a driver for the Red Cross Motor Corps.

Surviving nieces and nephews include Mabel L. Alexander of Orange Park, FL, Lyda Baughman, Vero Beach, FL, Robert and Richard Baughman, Margate, FL, Billy D. Stuart and Jack Ralph, FL, Charles and David Ralph, Edward Baughman, and Mary Elizabeth Smith, of Oil City.

Services will be at 1:30 Thursday at Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Coleman, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Nickleville Cemetery.
