Robert Ames, age 85, a native of El Central, Calif., and resident of Loxley, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Louise Jernigan Ames of Loxley; son, Charles Ames and his wife, Kathy, of Aumsville, Ore., three stepsons, Mike Randall and his wife, Alice, of Daphne, Dennis Randall and his wife, Cheryl, of Fairhope and Robert Randall of Fairhope; stepdaughter, Sandra Keith of Loxley; 13 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Ames.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Fish River Baptist Church, 17140 County Road 33, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Interment will be at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
