SPANISH FORT -- T.C. "Bill" Bethea, 81, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at his home in Spanish Fort. A native of Canoe, Bethea had been a resident of Spanish Fort for 54 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church there and was retired as a pipe fitter with L&N Railroad at Sibert Yard in Mobile. Survivors include his wife Katherine Bethea of Spanish Fort; two sons, John Bethea of Clanton and William Bethea of Mobile; daughters, Vicki Perry and Renee Cook, both of Spanish Fort; a brother, Winston Bethea of Tennessee; two sisters, Ann Nabors of Bay Minette and Pat Robinette of Huntsville; and 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort. Burial will follow at Jubilee Cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight, from 5 to 8, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Daphne and again at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are by Wolfe Funeral Home in Daphne.

Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort and was a retired pipe fitter from L & N Railroad, Sibert Yard, Mobile. Survivors include his wife Katherine Bethea of Spanish Fort, AL; two sons, John Bethea of Clanton, AL, and William Bethea of Mobile, AL; two daughters, Vicki Perry and Renee Cook, both of Spanish Fort, AL; one brother, Winston Bethea of TN; two sisters, Ann Nabors of Bay Minette, AL and Pat Robinette of Huntsville, AL, and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort with interment to follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bethea will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements by WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, 28720 US Hwy 98, Daphne, AL.
