Birth: Mar. 14, 1906
Shawnee County
Kansas, USA
Death: unknown
Los Angeles County
California, USA

Jim Cunningham was the 10th child of 11 born to Ira Edwin and Eva M Miller Cunningham. He was only 5 yrs old when his father died in 1919. His mother was left with the 5 youngest children, ranging from age 21 to 5, still at home. He was crippled as a child from an injury to his knee and the removal of his kneecap; preventing him serving in the military. Jim grew up in Kansas and September 15, 1932 at Arkansas City, Kansas married Anna Ozment Brown, born in Oklahoma in 1905. Anna was divorced and brought to the union a daughter Dorothy Jean Brown from her previous marriage to Samuel Silver Brown.

The marriage was blessed with six more children. James Richard and Shirley Ann were born in Arkansas City, Kansas. The family then, with Jim's mother Eva, moved to the Los Angeles area of California where a set of twins, Beverly Jane and Barbara Jean were born followed by Bruce Ronald and Linda Joyce.

Anna told me that Jim had been an accountant CPA and kept books for a living when he worked. I found that he had worked for the Rail Road at one time. Due to his severe drinking problem she and Jim divorced in 1947 which became final in 1948. After the divorce he disappeared and the family never heard from him again. Brothers Ira, Frank, Bob and Luther had all moved to the west coast too, and claimed to have no knowlege of what happened to Jim.

It is assumed that he died homeless and unidentified in Los Angeles, California. Because of the massive number of deaths in Los Angeles and with no date there is no way to verify any information on his death with the cemetery. With this assumption he would have been buried in one of the mass graves of the Los Angeles County Cemetery.

A second possibility for him could be the FAG #10612979
