Mr. Anderson was born in Augusta, Ga., on April 21, 1912 to the late Benjamin F. and Maggie Kennedy Anderson.
He was self-employed as a farmer residing in Burke County since 1952.
He was a former chairman of the school board in Midville, Georgia for many years, past chairman of the Board of Deacons of Midville Baptist Church
and Dunbarton Baptist Church and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro.
Survivors include two sons, Benjamin K. Anderson Jr. of Clarksville and John Russell Anderson Sr. of Waynesboro; two step-daughters, Linda Dinkins of Augusta and Kathy Dinkins Evans of Marietta; a grandson, John Russell Anderson Jr. of Waynesboro and a step-grandson, John Dinkins Evans of Marietta.
