Bobby Wayne Brunk, 56 years of age, passed and finished his earthly journey after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bobby was called home to be with the lord on October 1, 2014. Many loved Bobby, including family, numerous friends and co-workers. He will be missed by many and will be fondly remembered for his “quick wit” as he had a special gift for making others laugh. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fly-fishing, traveling with his family, music, classic westerns. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was employed by Tracom as a Operation Specialist, and had been volunteer fireman for Fort Chaffee of Barling. In the past few years of his fight, he carried on with dignity and strength. He was a perfect example of utmost courage. Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Brunk of Fort Smith; Teresa’s children Larissa Sterling and husband Brandon of Van Buren, AR; Zachary Spaulding of Fayetteville, AR and Girlfriend Sarah Nelson of Fayetteville, AR; Granddaughter, Addison Sterling of Van Buren; Bobby’s children Josh and Ashleigh; Two Siblings; Brother Jerry Lee Brunk and wife Linda of Redland, OK; Sister, Sharon Christenberry of Barling, AR. A very special Thank You to Peachtree Hospice of Fort Smith, AR, for the amazing support, care, and love that was provided. Pallbearers will be Zachary Spaulding, Brandon Sterling, David McGee, David Christenberry, Mark Brunk, and Joe Brunk. Visitation will be at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, AR from 5:30-7:30 and Service for family and friends will be at 2:00 pm at Redland Cemetery, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
