She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, A. Hampton Burnett and Robert "Bob" L. Kyger.
Mrs. Burnett was a homemaker and loved to work with her flowers and doll collection. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hubert Verne Burnett, and a son, Steve Verne Burnett, both of Advance Mills; her sister, Arlene D. Kyger of Earlysville; a brother, Homer K. "Buddy" Dulaney and his wife, Audrey, of Nellysford; two sisters-in-law, Florence D. Burnett of Advance Mills, and Mary Louise B. Breeden and her husband, Marvin, of Madison; nieces and nephews including Tom and Pat White, of Williamsburg, Shirley Kyger of Earlysville, Denise Dulaney of Charlottesville, Sharon Valentine of Washington, D.C., Gerald and Bella Burnett, of Ruckersville, Bob and Barbara Jean Bowe, of Houston, Texas, Gary and Carol Burnett, of Advance Mills, and Greg and Paige Duncan, of Keswick; and many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family received friends at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Advance Mills Oct. 30. Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. John Greene and the Rev. Jay Sanderford officiated.
