Jennie Bell (Fleming) Asbury, of Macon died August 20, 1891, at the home of J.A. Maddox in the Ten Mile township, where she had gone for a visit and came down with typhoid fever. She was the daughter of G.R. Fleming of Moberly, Mo and niece of Ettie Mears of Macon, Mo. She was born in Altoona, Blair county, PA, December 4, 1858. When a child of ten years her father removed his family to Macon county.
She became a member of the Christian church in 1876. She leaves a husband and five children, an aged father and mother, one brother and three sisters. Her remains were laid to rest beside her little daughter who preceeded her to the grave a few years ago, in the Bethel church yard.
Buried at Bethel Cemetery; 3 1/2 miles north of Anabel, Mo.
