Maria was survived by her sons: Ernest Vigil of Cerro, Hubert Vigil (Lorraine), and Max Vigil (Barbara); 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation was on August 26, 2013 from at Rivera Chapel. A Rosary was recited on August 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cerro. Funeral mass was on August 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cerro. Interment followed in the Cerro Cemetery in Cerro.
