Danny "Blackie" Charles Gurganious is the son of Avery and Edna Mae Pickett Gurganious. He is the grandson of William Thomas "Tom" and Elsie Bell Pickett and great grandson of Joseph E. and Mary Alice Bonham Pickett. As he was visiting his mother's home and resting on the couch he suffered a heart attack.
