David Edward Berryman, 56, of Sandborn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in an automobile accident in Sullivan County.
Born March 19, 1946, in Knox County, he was the son of Earnest E. and Robertine R. (Hagemeier) Berryman.
He was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841 in Terre Haute since 1979. He was a member of the Edwardsport Methodist Church and the National Guard. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 1972. He started work at age 11 for a neighborhood farmer. Other occupations included production at Hamilton Glass, semi-truck driver and bulldozer operator for his father-in-law. He joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841 in 1979. He was an avid Indian artifact hunter and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann (Clark) Berryman of Sandborn; two daughters, Jennifer Kay Page of Wheatland and Jeanette Lee Berryman of Sandborn; two brothers, Gary Berryman of Westphalia and Paul Berryman of Oakland City; one sister, Linda Mae Hammelman of Edwardsport, four grandchildren, Jalayna Grace Page, Jerek Emerson Page, Jaden Jennings Page, and Jarissa Ruth Page; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Bro. Jack Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
