Shawnee resident Minnie Ruth Bruner Faxon, 73, died Wednesday, May 4, in Oklahoma City.
She was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Holdenville to Izora and Arthur J. Bruner.
She attended high school at Chilocco and Haskell.
Minnie was a resident of Shawnee for the past twenty-eight years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Izora and Arthur Bruner Sr.; three brothers, Johnny Lee Bruner, Tippy and Leon Bruner and one son, Michael Faxon.
Survivors include Robert G. Faxon; three daughters, Susan Faxon of Oklahoma City, Teresa Faxon of Oklahoma City and Sandra Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas; four sons, Ronald Faxon and his wife, Sylvia, of Corpus Christi, Robert J. Faxon and wife, Penny, of Shawnee, Paul Faxon of Shawnee and Billy Smith of Shawnee; three sisters, Johnie Mae Kalinich, Cowena Anderson, Doreen Buck; three brothers, James Bruner, Arthur Bruner Sr. and Harry Bruner, 29 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Marty Kalinich, Tommy Kalinich, Billy Anderson, John A. Anderson, Leon Bruner, Michael Bruner, Arthur Bruner III and Bobby Buck. Honorary pallbearers are Mecko Kalinich, John Bruner, Jeff Anderson and Otis Buck.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Many Springs Indian Baptist Church, southeast of Holdenville, with the Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
