He departed this life May 20, 1997, he leaves to mourn his wife Barbara Franklin; daughter Kelly and son Esmus Franklin, Jr. of Belzoni, MS. Seven brothers, Twillie of Belzoni; Van (Jerry) of Leland, MS; Stanley (Connie) and Dewey (Thelma) of Jackson, MS; James, Robert, and Clarence of Chicago, IL; two sisters Dorothy Franklin of Los Angeles, Calif.; Lucinda Franklin of Centreville, MS; his brother, John Eddie Franklin and sisters Mary E. Franklin and Ruthie O'Neal Franklin preceded him in death. One aunt Louise Anderson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
