JOHN BOROWIAK DEAD FROM RUPTURED APPENDIX
John Borowiak, 28 years of age, and a resident of the Krakow community all his life, died early Tuesday morning at a Genoa hospital follow an operation for the removal of a ruptured appendix.
John Borowiak was 28 years, ten months and five days old, having been born on January 19, 1910, the son of William and Pauline Borowiak, on their farm near Krakow where he grew to manhood and remained until his marriage to Miss Lucyle Shotkoski on May 12, 1936. For the past year they have been living on what is known as the Pete Placzek farm, five miles west of Silver Creek.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Marilyn, a year and a half old; his mother; one sister, Mrs. Zymund Shotkoski of Fullerton; three brothers, Pete, Walter and Frank of Genoa, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Walter Prososki of Silver Creek, Mrs. John L. Cich of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Joe Kava of Rothsay, Minn.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Krakow, with Rev. Fr. Edward Soliwoski, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery near the church.
