Leonard Audette dies at age 53.
Leonard J. Audette, 53, of Louisville Township, Red Lake County, rural Crookston, died Tuesday evening at Rivervew Hospital, Crookston, where he had been admitted several hours before.
Leonard Audette was born April 19, 1919, in Louisville Township, the son of Zotique Audette and Nellie Boutain. He married Henriett Amiot on June 16, 1941 at Gentilly. They have farmed northeast of Crookston.
He was a member of the Farmers Union and former treasurer of the Hout School Board of 15 years.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Larry, a student at UMC, Crookston, and Mrs. Joseph (Paulann) Kucera of Bemidji; one grandson; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Audette of Louisville Township; four brothers, Clifford and Wilfred Audette of Hayward, California and Lester Audette of Crookston; and one sister Mrs. Harvey (Florence) Normandin of Crookston. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
The Liturgy of the Funeral will be offered for Leonard Audette at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church, Dorothy, with the Rev. Gerald Foley officiating. Interment will be in in St. Dorothy's cemetery in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at the Petterson Funeral Home, Red Lake Falls, from three on Friday with recitation of prayers at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Red Lake Falls.
