Joyce L. Jacoby, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, May 11, 2012, in Gettysburg. She was the wife of Joseph L. "Toot" Jacoby, who died May 6, 1998.

Born July 21, 1935, in New Albany, IN, she was the daughter of the late James and Leona (Hubbard) Nett.

Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove.

She was co-owner of Sisters Two Ceramics at the Hanover Market.

Joyce was a great caregiver to many children and her grandchildren, and had a special love for gardening.

Surviving are six children, Debra Menchey of New Oxford, Steven Jacoby of Wytheville, VA, Gail Solt of Dover, Gregory Jacoby of Wytheville, VA, Douglas Jacoby of Abbottstown, and Shelly Beard of Hanover; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia White of Gettysburg; and a brother, James Nett of Gettysburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., May 16, 2012, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with the Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove.
