Dennis R. Neiderer, of New Oxford, husband of Beverley A. (McClain) Neiderer, entered into God's eternal care, December 15, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 1, 1948, in Hanover, he was the son of Nadine E. (Berwager) Neiderer of Edgegrove and the late George W. Neiderer.

Dennis was a 1965 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.

He followed his father, George, as the owner of Neiderer Sanitation and was the owner of Shel-Shan Motorsports, 10N Super Sprint Car.

Dennis served in the Navy from 1967 to 1973 during Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove and the McSherrystown Moose; and a life member of McSherrystown Fish & Game Assoc., McSherrystown Home Assoc., Irishtown Fire Co., S.A.V.E.S., Amvets, The 40-8, VFW, New Oxford Social Club, and the American Legion Post 202 in Gettysburg, where he served as an officer.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Shellie Neiderer and fiancÚ, Mark Pevarnik of McSherrystown, and Shannon Jesko and companion, Todd Senseney of Hanover; five grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Emily, Tyler, and Jack Dennis; 15 siblings, James Neiderer of Fairfield, Terry Neiderer, Judy Epley, Richard Neiderer, Benedict Neiderer, Anthony Neiderer, Gloria Neiderer, Joan Kessler, Gregory Neiderer, and Jeanette Huff, all of Hanover, Timothy Neiderer, Jeffrey Neiderer, and Catherine Kohler, all of New Oxford, Nancy Bevenour of Gettysburg, and Annette Flannery of McSherrystown. He was the son-in-law to Ira and Annie McClain of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sondra Neiderer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. December 20, 2011, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with the Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery, with military honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
