Naomi Ballinger Waddell, 78, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Limestone Health Facility in Athens, Ala. She was born June 1, 1931. Mrs. Waddell retired from Bell Finance after 30 years of loyal service. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey's Spring, Ala.
She is survived by four children, Watha Waddell Cobb, wife of David Cobb, Steven O. Waddell, wife, Pam Waddell, Darrell Scott Waddell, wife, Angie Waddell, Shenna Naomi Stewart, wife of Steven Stewart. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Carol Waddell; one brother, Lee Hoyt Ballinger; and one sister Margaret Garnes.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral at noon, at Twickenham Funeral Home South, with the Rev. Al Philips officiating. Burial will follow in Ballinger Cemetery.
