Mrs. Kathleen Frances Armstrong, 93, of Bridgewater, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Bridgewater Home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Mount Solon, Va., on Dec. 9, 1915, and was a daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Addie (Carson) Howdyshell.
She was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Brethren, Mount Solon and was active in the Women's Fellowship.
Kathleen was united in marriage on Oct. 26, 1934, to Parker Eli Armstrong, who preceeded her in death on Sept. 3, 1968.
Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Corene Hummel of Dayton; two sisters, Lela Varner of McDowell, and Charlene Long of Mount Solon.
She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Urshel Howdyshell, and Boyd Howdyshell; two sisters, Pauline A. Howdyshell Andrews and Zela Aleline Huffman; and two great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. in the Emmanuel Church Cemetery Thursday March 19, 2009.
