George Anthony of Putman, aged 71, died in Stamford Monday. He was buried Wednesday in the Dennis Cemetery, 6 miles north of Moran, with the Barrow Furniture Company in charge of arrangements. Mr. Anthony is survived by his wife and a son. He was born in Arkansas, Jan. 14, 1855, and had been prominently identified with the land and oil development for many years in this section. He owned the Putman Hotel where he made his home at the time of his death.
Husband of Eva Beulah Wagley. Father of Mark, Florence Belle (Hammonds), unnamed daughter (buried in Dennis Cemetery) and Joseph Barney Wagley.
