Body of Ira Ballard Buried at Glenwood -
Ira Ballard, former resident of this locality, died last Friday at his home in Council Bluffs, and the body was returned here Sunday afternoon for burial in Glenwood cemetery beside the remains of his wife.
A number of years ago Mr. Ballard was employed at the Burlington round-house here.
Before her marriage, Mrs. Ballard was Rose Stouter, daughter of John Stouter, an early settler in Glenwood community.
Rev. H. G. Darling of Palmer Christian church conducted the services at the cemetery at about 4 p. m. Sunday afternoon. Pall Bearers were Merton King, John C. Butler, F. H. Burke, C. J. Lamberson, F. V. Forbes and B. C. Brown.
