LEBANON, Va. — James M. Mullins Jr., age 30, of Lebanon, Va., passed away suddenly on August 23, 2012. Jim was a lawyer with bachelor degrees in political science and accounting and a Juris Doctorate degree from West Virginia University College of Law.

Jim was born in Grundy, Va. and spent his early youth in Paynesville. He Later graduated with honors from Logan High School. He dearly loved politics and was very active in local and state politics in West Virginia.

Jim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Mae Mullins, and by his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Merbie Mullins, all of Paynesville.

He is survived by his loving parents, James M. and Loretta Mullins of Lebanon, Va., and his dear brother, Nolan and wife Meghan Phillips Mullins of Alexandria, Va. He will also be deeply missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who dearly loved him.

Wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Crossview Church of Christ, Panther Ridge Road, Paynesville. Family and friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, August 27 at noon at the Crossview Church with burial to follow in the Ambrose Mullins Cemetery, Panther Ridge Road. Pallbearers will be Buck Jones, Buckie Jones, Dean Payne, Brian Mullins, Brad Knox, Braxton Mullins. Special honorary pallbearer will be Dillard Keen.
