Services in loving memory of Jacki Barnett, age 52, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel in Tahlequah, with Pastor Allen Nevel presiding. Interment will follow at Molly Field Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Chris Chaffin, Tray Chaffin, Dalton Dillard, Steve Keys, Keven Hendricks, Tim Taylor, and Steven Booth. Honorary pallbearers will be Wes Conley, Dr. William Jackson, and Dr. Matthew Kimberling. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Jacki Barnett was born June 23, 1958 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Jack Dillard and Anna Belle (Dreadfulwater) Candy. As a celebration of the beginning of their new life together, she chose the first day of spring to marry her husband, Barney Barnett. Jacki loved spending time with her family and made sure she was involved with any activities that her children were doing. She coached little league softball, was involved with the P.T.O., liked to quilt, and spent time serving at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Skiatook where she was a member. Jacki was very creative and was always making things. She was a generous person to all who knew her and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jacki enjoyed life to the fullest and tried to never waste a moment. Jacki Barnett passed away at the age of 52 on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents Fannie and Dick Manes, her step-father, Roy Candy, an aunt, Mary A'Neal, and an infant brother, Dickie Dale Candy. Left to carry on her legacy is her husband Barney Barnett of the home in Skiatook, OK; her mother, Anna Belle Candy of Tahlequah; her mother and father-in-law, Jim and Dolores Barnett of Fairfax;, OK; two sons, J.J. Barnett of Skiatook, OK, Joshua Barnett and wife Codi of Morris, OK; two daughters, Mackenzie and Madison Barnett of the home; two sisters, Donna Dillard, Phyllis Chaffin and husband Jimmy, all of Tahlequah; four brothers, Allen Nevel and wife Teri, Rusty Dillard and wife Allison, Roy Candy and Jack Candy, all of Tahlequah; two grandchildren Taylor and Tenli Barnett; an aunt, Jeannie Oxford of Tahlequah; four sister-in-laws; many nieces and nephews; as well as many cherished friends and loved ones.
