Thomas Adair, 82, Bennett Addition, was dead on arrival at Guernsey Memorial Hospital at 10 a.m. today (July 29, 1969). He had been ill about three weeks.
A retired farmer, he was born Sept. 7, 1887, at Winterset, a son of Peter M. and Lititia Johnston.
He leaves his wife, the former Golda Johnson, whom he married June 1, 1922; one brother, Leroy of Cambridge, and three nephews, Two other brothers are deceased.
He was a veteran of World War I, he was a member of American Legion Post 461, Antrim, and was affiliated with the United Presbyterian Church at Antrim.
Friends will be received at Scott Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and burial will follow in Antrim Cemetery.
