Margaret Lucille "Granny B" Badman, 87, of Taylorville, formerly of Palmer, died at 7:25 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dayle Badman officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery in Palmer.
Mrs. Badman was born in Taylorville on Jan. 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Walter and Sarah (Odle) Stockon. She married George Leonard Badman in Macon on Oct. 7, 1944, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2005.
A retired homemaker, she was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Palmer. She loved playing Bingo and camping, and she enjoyed and loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends at Rolling Meadows.
Mrs. Badman is survived by her sons, Kenneth "Ray" (wife Dayle) Badman of Taylorville, James (wife Sue) Badman and Billy (wife Anita) Badman, both of Palmer; daughters, Janet (husband Cayle) Davis of Palmer, Connie (husband Tony) Cook and Victoria (husband Tom) Grundy of Morrisonville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Stockon of Arizona; sister, Virginia Dowdy of Palmer; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight siblings; grandchild, Billy Ray Badman; and great-grandchild, Darren Allen Durbin.
Memorials may be directed to the Bear Creek Community Club in Palmer.
