He enlisted in the Army on October 22, 1942 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.

He "Died Of Wounds" received in action during the war.

He was awarded a "Silver Star" and a Purple Heart.
