James Paris, from Francisville, Pulaski County, eighteen years of age, and an inmate of the House of Refuge, at Plainfield, was drowned Friday evening by falling into the pond on the grounds of that institution. The boy was unwell, and was allowed the freedom of the premises, and it is presumed he fell into the water while in a fit. An inquest was held over the remains on Saturday, and a verdict returned exonerating the management from all blame. Yesterday, Rev J.B. Abbott, Chaplain, preached a funeral sermon.
