Mable Marie Everson, a counter clerk and a resident and native of Port Allen, died at 10:38 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at Earl K. Long Medical Center, of breast cancer. She was 67.

Visiting at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 5262 Prescott Road, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Ronald T. Williams. Interment in Lady of Knight Cemetery. Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Everson; five sisters, Delene Torry, Effie Allen, Lillie Poland, Irene Everson and Dorothy Dorsey; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Isaiah Everson Jr., Amos Sr. and Beverly Everson, Eadolph Sr. and Kathleen Everson and Frederick Sr. and Deboraha Everson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaiah and Rachel Everson; a son, Kelvin Everson; three sisters, Vera Everson, Audrey Everson and Bessie Milton; and a great-granddaughter, Amari Smith.

She was a high school graduate.
