Evelyn Irene Books, nineteen-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Books, York Springs R.1. died in the Carlisle hospital Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock from third degree burns to her right arm and leg sustained Monday evening when a pan of scalding water was spilled on her.
Surviving are the parents, one sister: Romaine, and one brother: Gerald, both at home, and the maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. George Diven, Mt. Holly Springs.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock fron the late home with futher services at Chestnut Grove church, the Rev. Ira S. Ernst of Carlisle, officiating. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
