Harry Cullen Auld, 97, formerly of Arcola, died Jun 18, 2003. A memorial service will be October 3 at Arcola Presbyterian Church with service of committal following at Lake Fork Cemetery, Atwood.

Mr. Auld was born Dec. 22, 1905 in a small town in southern Illinois. He and his wife were married in 1931. She died in 1994. Survivors are his son, Harry Eugene and wife JoAnn; two granddaughters: Kathy (Larry) Prewett; and Kimberly (Tim) Miner; and four gr-grandchildren.

Mr. Auld spent his adult life as an aircraft mechanic in the US Air Force. After 30 years, having achieved the rank of chief warrant officer, Mr. Auld retired to Arcola.. He was active at the Arcola Presbyterian Church.

Harry and Mary, as they were called, were known by their church family and community. They moved to Albuquerque NM in 1990; and Mr. Auld then moved to Colorado after the death of his wife. He remained active with his hobby of beading angels and told everyone that his angels went all over the world.

Memorials may be made to the Arcola Presbyterian Church.
