The majority of my early Bragaw information came from the published genealogy "Our Brokaw-Bragaw Heritage published in the late 1960's by a cousin Elsie Foster. A lot of her early Bragaw information was taken from the New York Genealogical & Biographical Record 1955-1956. I have since included the information from both sources into my personal database along with my own research. I will include here the page from Elsie Foster's book on Andrew Bragaw's Father Isaac Bragaw:

Isaac Bragaw, born Newtown, L. Island, probably married there to Ann Waldron, born there, a daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Van Alst) Waldron. (New Harlem Reg. pp. 87-558) Hannah was daughter of Joris Van Alst of Newtown, and wife, Aeltje Bragaw. Date of marriage of Isaac and Ann is date of marriage bond. First nine children are recorded in the New Harlem Register, P. 588. After the Revolutionary War Isaac Bragaw moved to Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., N.Y. and in 1802 was of Fishkill. (Dutchess Co. Deeds, v. 7, p. 245) Isaac died intestate and his son Samuel was administrator of estate.
Samuel Bragaw married, 1st, in the Poughkeepsie D. Ch., May 2, 1815, to Ann Covenhoven (Conover), b. Feb. 1, 1788 - d. 1830, a daughter of Adrian, b. 1753 and wife, Barbara (Du Bois) Covenhoven. In marriage rec. gives Adrian as Van Kouwenhoven. He was a Revolutionary Soldier and served under Col. Abraham Brinkerhoff. Barbara Du Bois was daughter of Elisha Du Bois of Fishkill. In 1911 Samuel I. Bragaw was an Ensign in the Dutchess Co. Militia; a Lieutenant of the 84th. Regiment, in 1815 and Captain 1816. His children were: - (1) Peter S. Bragaw who mar. and lived in Washington Hollow; had 2 daughters - (2) Mary Lewis BragAw, mar. a Mr. Smith and had 3 daus. and a son - (3) Isaac S. Bragaw, mar. and had 2 daus., lived at Little Rest, N.Y. - (4) Abraham S. Bragaw, mar. Mary and moved to Enfield, N.Y. about 7 miles from Ithaca, 1840 - (5) Adrian Bragaw, mar. and had 5 children, lived in Iowa. (From C.E. Brokaw's records.)
Peter S. Bragaw died July 13, 1896. Anna Bragaw married, in Poughkeepsie D. Ch.,Oct. 3, 1811, to Daniel Freligh and children living, in 1834, were Anna Maria; John and Emaline Freligh. (Dutchess Co., Deeds, v. 52, p. 326) Isaac Bragaw, Jr. was a soldier in the War of 1812, serving in Company commanded by Col. Robert Swartout. He was granted warraNty Deed No. 60-597, for 40 acres of Bounty Land. Was married, Jan. 24, 1822, to Catherine Yerrys, in the First Reformed Church of Poughkeepsie (War Rec. W.N.37-894) in which it gives dates of his birth and death, as given here. Marriage recs of that church gave her as Catherine Terry, and date of mar. as Jan. 24, 1822. And the NYG & B Rec. gives as Yeng, and mar. Jan 30, 1812. Isaac Bragaw died Apr. 11, 1854. (Dutchess Co., Prob. File No. 2725)
On Apr. 10, 1855, when pension papers were filed, Catherine, the widow, was 56 yrs. of age, which would make her born in 1798-9. She died in Dutchess Co., Oct. 8, 1877, and next of kin were, as Sept. 30, 1880, Clarissa Bragaw of East Fishkill; Cornelia and Tunis Berry (prob. Yerry), of Raritan, N.J. (the latter executor of her will.); Alfred Bragaw and Angelina Painter of Long Island City; George Bragaw of Astoria, L.I.; Melissa Bragaw and Mary Ann Bragaw of Poughkeepsie and Abraham Bragaw of California. (Dutchess Co. Prob. File No. 9402) Of these, Clarissa married Adrian Bogardus of East Fishkill; Cornelia mar. Tunis Berry and moved to Raritan, N.J. and Angelina mar. Thomas J. Painter of Dutch Kills, Queens Co., N.Y. Cornelia Ann Bragaw mar. Oct. 25, 1825, to James T. Van Curlen, and Andrew C. Bragaw mar. May 30, 1833 to Sarah R. O'Conner. No further records.
