Alexander R. Acosta, 73, of Waianae, a retired inspector from Lualualei Naval Magazine, died June 28, 1998 in St. Francis-West Hospital.
Born in Honolulu, he is survived by wife Rose “Yeye;” sons Steven Cardenas, Alexander R. Jr., Ashford “Bones,” Christian “Kaai,” Anthony “Keanue” and Aldo Acosta and Agar English; daughters Tina Treu and Annette Naki; sister Lucille Whitthoeft; hanai son Apiuta Tiapula; hanai daughter Leonora Chang; 43 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Wake services: 7 p.m. Sunday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Call from 6 to 9 p.m. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Call after 10 a.m. Burial: Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire. No flowers.
