Calimer was born at Old Forge on Jun 24, 1890, son of the late Noah and Isabelle (Patterson) Calimer. Most of his life was lived in the Waynesboro area, and he had lived at the present residence for the past 40 years.
As a young man, Calimer was employed at the Wood-Embly Brass Foundry at Rouzerville and prior to his retirement in 1951 he last worked as a groundskeepers at the homes of the late Rev. and Mrs. J. Boyd Davis at Blue Ridge Summit.
His wife, Mrs. Elsie M. (Emory) Calimer died in April 1969.
Calimer was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Chapel at Beartown.
He is survived by a son John E. Calimer Rouzerville; a daughter Mrs. Eugene Yingling, at home, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 11 A. M. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. K. William Whitney Jr. Burial will be in the Calvary Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P. M. Sunday.
